Sustainability Report

INDURA has published our latest sustainability report, detailing progress in measuring and reducing our carbon footprint as well as future goals. The report, developed in collaboration with consultancy firm Viegand Maagøe A/S, includes carbon reduction, climate accounts for 2020-2023, and the Science Based Targets initiative.
Our sustainability commitment is reflected in the reduction of our own emissions and collaboration with suppliers and customers to minimize environmental impact. We have also developed an Environmental Product Declaration (EPD) for flanges and fittings, and conducted a life cycle assessment (LCA) to identify emission reduction hotspots.

EPD – Environmental Product Declaration

Our Environmental Product Declarations (EPDs) provide transparency and reliable data on the environmental impact of our products.

Our EPDs comply with the EN15804+A2 standard and cover a range of products, including carbon and stainless steel fittings. By investing over 300 hours of our sustainability experts' time and gathering data from all our subcontractors, we ensure accurate and comprehensive environmental analyses. This helps not only us but also our customers to reduce their environmental footprint.

ISO14001 Environmental Management System

ISO14001

In 2024, we achieved ISO 14001 certification for environmental management for the first time. This certification requires us to make environmentally friendly choices every day in our work, from waste sorting to energy consumption. By structuring our processes and committing to continuous improvements, we work purposefully to reduce our environmental impact. We look forward to continuing our journey toward a more sustainable future and appreciate our customers' support in this effort.

LCA (Life Cycle Analysis)

INDURA uses life cycle assessment (LCA) to identify and minimize the environmental impact of our products from cradle to grave.

At INDURA, we understand how important it is to take responsibility for the environment. Therefore, we have implemented a comprehensive Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) in our work processes. An LCA is a methodological approach to evaluate the environmental impact of a product throughout its life cycle – from raw material extraction to production, use, and final disposal

SBTi – Science Based Targets initiative

The Science-Based Targets Initiative (SBTi) is an ambitious UN initiative that defines a clear path for companies to contribute to the Paris Agreement through defined emission reductions.

SBTi sets a requirement for a 50% reduction in a company's own emissions (Scope 1 and Scope 2) from 2018 to 2030 to align with the 1.5°C goal. For INDURA, the target is a 42% reduction, as we signed up in 2020. We have a clear plan to achieve this goal, which includes transitioning to green electricity, phasing out natural gas for heating, and gradually switching to electric vehicles.
