Science Based Targets initiative

We prove our commitment to building a sustainable future by letting science dictate our course of action.

What is the Science Based Targets initiative?

The Science-Based Targets initiative (SBTi) is an ambitious UN initiative that defines a clear path for companies' contributions to the Paris Agreement through defined emission reductions.

SBTi requires a 50% reduction in own emissions (Scope 1 and Scope 2) from 2018 to 2030 to stay in line with the 1.5°C goal.

For INDURA, the target is a 42% reduction, as we joined in 2020.

We have a clear plan to reach this goal, which includes transitioning to green electricity, phasing out natural gas for heating, and gradually switching to electric vehicles.

We have replaced our plastic nets

We have replaced our plastic nets to support a greener future. Previously, we used black plastic nets to secure our flanges, but now we use a transparent net made of 30% recycled plastic.

This change reduces our CO2 emissions from 61 to 44.4 tons per year – a saving of over 25%.

We see this as an important step towards a more sustainable supply chain.

We encourage our customers to reuse the nets in their own processes, so that together we can achieve greater environmental improvements.

SBTi - Approved

The Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi) has approved INDURA’s climate goals for scope 1 and 2 as being in line with the Paris Agreement.

Our goals, which cover greenhouse gas emissions from INDURA's operations (scope 1 and 2), meet the requirements to keep global warming to 1.5°C – the most ambitious target of the Paris Agreement. This is in line with the latest climate science and is critical to preventing the most harmful effects of climate change. We are proud to contribute to a sustainable future and will continue striving to reduce our environmental impact.
