EPD – Environmental Product Declaration

An EPD is a detailed environmental 'life story' of a product. This report documents the total environmental impact of the product, from the extraction of raw materials, through the production process, the usage phase, and finally recycling or disposal.

What Does an EPD Contain?

An EPD contains information about the environmental impact of the product, including:

• Energy consumption

• Water consumption

• Emissions to air, water, and soil

• Waste generation

Additionally, the product’s potential for resource depletion, global warming, ozone layer depletion, acidification, and eutrophication is described.

All this is calculated from a life cycle perspective, providing a fair and balanced picture of the product’s environmental impact.

Benefits of EPD

• Identification of improvement areas: Find the areas where we can reduce environmental impact.

• GWP Reduction: Actively work to minimize our contribution to global warming.

• Strategic sustainability: Use data to strengthen our long-term sustainability strategies.

• Transparent communication: Communicate clearly and honestly with stakeholders about our environmental impact.

• Support our mission: Promote our goal of becoming even more sustainable.

Through this in-depth analysis, we are better equipped to make informed decisions that contribute to a greener future. INDURA is dedicated to reducing our environmental footprint and ensuring sustainable development for future generations.
